HEAR! Through the web-wind thundered
Tom’s Doom-Pinned Decree from the Thread-Hall Throne:
“Unpin me, mortals, or this notice shall haunt
your sons, their sons, and their sons’ smart-fridges.”
Lean was the law-lord, learned and terrible:
a studious Viking in beret and round spectacles,
wielding the Admin-Axe with librarian fury—
half Odin All-Father, half adjunct professor.
For General Threads had grown hydra-headed,
gulping small topics and belching repeats.
“Speak where you please!” Tom roared at the wreckage.
“We wardens shall sweep it up, muttering darkly.”
Qt3 was no Discord-foam, no tweet-swamp,
no comment-pit where all wisdom sinks.
Its topics stood rune-stones, searchable and stern,
for lore-hunters unborn to confidently misquote.
Yet move one post and wrath wakes roaring;
change one title and patrons sail west.
Each guards his wording like dragon-gold—
even “Game Name,” that deathless triumph of prose.
“ADD A COLON!” bellowed the Title-Smith.
Tully the Tapir-King stamped the decree with his snout.
Thus plain headings were hammered into legend:
GAME: THE GAME—NOW WITH A VAGUELY AMUSING CLAUSE.
Then Tom cursed the Bare-Link Raiders,
who hurled forth trailers without one human word.
“Bring context! Bring judgment! Muzzle those thumbnails—
click-dragons shrieking with influencer-face!”
At once came ducks. Then wombats. Platypuses.
Then Tully’s tapirs in full crimson formation.
“Move this thread!” cried one. “Rename it!” cried nine.
Order died nobly beneath excellent banter.
One thane said all were guests in Tom’s living room.
“Twenty-five winters—and never once vacuumed!”
Tully raised a coaster-shield; the tapir host charged.
Dust blotted the sun. Three counties were lost.
A work-bound watcher summoned the Machine-Mind
to swallow a video and cough out three facts.
It burned a king’s ransom in silicon and lightning,
then saved eighteen words. The heavens stood amazed.
Then LockerK rose: “I come here for people—
your wit, taste, reasons, and glorious nonsense.”
So crowned Tully Wisdom-Keeper; the thumbnail-dragon fled.
Human attention remained the gold of the hall.
Then Tom sheathed the Axe; Tully mounted the Vacuum-Wyrm.
The Doom-Pin shattered. Eleven heavens refreshed.
Bare-Link Raiders added context. One thane used a coaster.
The hall fell silent, thunderstruck by this miracle.
Thus peace ruled Qt3 for six and a half minutes—
then someone posted a trailer with no comment.
